Emile Jansen aka Emile YX? has been named the Lead SA Hero of The Year for 2016 at the 2016 Lead SA Changemakers Conference held Century City Conference Centre on 20 August 2016.
Emile who is also the Lead SA Hero of The Month for April 2016 has dedicated his life to changing the lives of young people on the Cape Flats and since 1998 he has impacted thousands of lives through his Heal the Hood project

Those who consider themselves “coloured” have obviously not yet been liberated from the apartheid yoke, writes Lionel Adendorf.
The whole point of Bruinou.com's existence is not to be the entity arguing what people who are classified or self-identify as Coloured should or should not be called, but to be a platform where these identity issues can be discussed, so please don't shoot the messenger.
Cape Town - There has never been a race called “coloured”. There is no coloured culture, no coloured traditions and no coloured customs. And therefore, no coloured people.
These are the hard truths those who consider themselves “coloured” need to accept.
Elroy Gelant Aims for Podium Finish in Rio Olympics 5000m Final

Originally from Pacaltsdorp near George, Elroy Gelant who is based in Potchefstroom, has qualified for the 5000m final at the Rio Olympics.
Gelant who turns 30 on 25 August holds the South African record for the 5000m which he set at the Fanny Blankers-Koen Games in Hengelo, The Netherlands in May 2016.

Are Coalitions Democratic?

One of democracy’s fundamental flaws is the concept of coalitions. The 50% plus one vote rule provides the background for a complex yet simplistic abrogation of citizens’rights by politicians. Party A may get less votes than Party B but if they throw in their lot with Party C, then both of them can rule without the party which polled the most support, despite the fact that the majority of voters did not vote for them!
