We’d like to thank all the Bruinou.com members that voted via SMS and not Please-Call-Me’s.
The competition at this years Metro FM awards was, as expected, very hot. The award for best male vocalist category was no different. Much to the delight of the massive crowd, Verd snatched the best male vocalist award from favourite Ringo and if you thought he hadnt arrived before now you know.
This is a massive step for R&B in the country, especially for Bruin artists, who do not usually get the recognition that they deserve. We wish Verd every success for the future and we know that this is just going to set the ball in motion for bigger things for the artist. We know that this is going to pave the way for other R&B artists as well, especially Bruinous.
Verd would like to thank all of the Bruinou.com members for voting for him and for supporting him throughout the year by purchasing his album. If you do not have a copy of Verds debut album yet, make sure that you get it from your nearest Musica or Look and Listen for the ridiculously low price of just R40.
Bruinou.com plans to honour their promise of getting this talented artist to perform at a function. We are busy negotiating a date with his management for this and we will keep you all posted as to the progress thereof.
