South African DJ, Warrick Robert Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, has been shot and killed in Johannesburg, outside an alleged hijacked building this afternoon.
His sister Nicole Stock spoke to SABC News.
Details remain sketchy at this stage, but police were on the scene at the time of filming..
Born in Durban in 1985, DJ Warras, was a popular South African radio and television presenter, club DJ, and businessman.
According to initial reports, DJ Warras was approached by three unknown suspects after parking his vehicle, and they opened fire at him before fleeing the scene on foot. The incident occurred near the Carlton Centre.
Speculations about the motive for the murder are rife on social media, as well as graphic images of the crime scene. His sister, Nicole Stock, has asked that people should instead focus on the positive influence that DJ Warras had on so many different people’s lives.
