DJ Ready D, Cape Town’s legendary Turntablist, Hip Hop artist, iconic KFM radio presenter, and former host of the long-running The Ready D Show on Goodhope FM, shares his powerful story at MEX25.

As a legendary South African Hip Hop DJ and turntablist, DJ Ready D aka Deon Daniels is renowned for his four-time win at the SA DMC Championships, pioneering work with Prophets of Da City (POC) and Brasse Vannie Kaap, mentoring youth, hosting radio shows, and receiving the Grandmaster title and Lifetime Achievement Awards for bringing hip-hop to the mainstream, touring globally, and inspiring generations.

DJ Ready D Beyond Being a DJ

Beyond being a DJ, Grandmaster DJ Ready D, in various capacities, is also involved in film and TV industry projects, from being a presenter on magazine programs, like Mzandi Ridez, to being Music Director on the TV Spinners, and he has also had some of his own music productions featured in TV and international film projects.
