Your vote is your power. Together we can move beyond fear and empty promises and build the unity and delivery our communities deserve.
In the Western Cape, and especially in Cape Town, families are struggling in an uncertain world and a tough economy. Prices rise, jobs are scarce, and services are failing. People are tired of leaders who trap them in race kraals, who stir fear, and who have no plan for an affordable, safe, and livable city. Voting for such parties only gives us more of the same.
The 2024 general election proved this truth. Out of more than 3.3 million registered voters in the Western Cape, almost 1.34 million stayed home. That silence was not apathy. It was a message. It showed that people are tired of empty promises, politics of fear, and racial division while daily life does not improve.
The difference between 2024 and 2026 is critical. A general election chooses national and provincial government. Local government elections decide your council, your ward, and your municipality. In Cape Town and across the Western Cape, local government controls water, sanitation, housing, roads, refuse removal, clinics, and safety. It is the sphere of government that touches people’s lives most directly.
Our estimates show that between 520,000 and 600,000 Black African voters, up to 565,000 Coloured voters, and more than 200,000 White voters did not cast a ballot in 2024. That is not a small number. It is a force strong enough to change the future of the Western Cape and Cape Town.
Local Government Elections are About Service Delivery
But silence will not repair broken communities. It will not bring clean water, fix sewerage, make streets safer, or create jobs. There is a saying that you get what you vote for. The reverse is even more true. If you do not vote, you get what you did not want.
The lesson of 2024 is clear. Race politics, fear, and empty promises cannot take us forward. The Western Cape and Cape Town need a new politics that unites, listens, and delivers. The 1.3 million who stayed away in 2024 hold the power to shape 2026. This time, let your voice be heard.
Your vote in 2026 is not just political. It is personal. It is about the water in your tap, the light on your street, the refuse at your gate, and the safety of your children.
