I maintain that we should only say what’s worth saying. I feel moved to say this: “We have brilliance in us!!!”
I recently attended a hip-hop dance battle. Yes I still do and love it. I howl at the crews like a wolf at a full moon. Oh, how brilliant our crews are. A hall filled with people, looking up to a stage. Bodies vibrant, moving and rhythmic. Beautifull!!! Brilliance, that’s what I call it.
You see the passion in their movement. Their masked faces, I can only imagine, smiling and enjoying all the uproar for them. Whistles, screams, uncontrollable crowds, standing on chairs. Brilliance admired in our youth.
As parents or older and wiser family members we are so often afraid that our children wil end up doing the wrong things. What do you do in these situations where fear rules you? I say stand up and encourage them to do something worthwhile. Something other than alcohol and drugs.
Give your child, nephew, niece, brother or sister a positive alternative. Support them rigorously! Don’t back down!! Acknowledge their brilliance. Be it dancing, singing, writing, art, whatever is brilliant in them. Allow them to shine and tap into the God-given talent they have.
I commend COLOUREDS. YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!
