I wonder what the ANC fears so much about the mass proliferation of cheap Internet access? Is it because knowledge is power and it seems that government thrives on our collective ignorance? Is it because the Internet, unlike newspapers that get bullied into submision, the Internet cannot be censored and controlled like traditional media? Indeed this is the case for all governments in Africa that have treated the mass take-up of Internet services with contempt as once their constituents get armed with knowledge, it won’t be easy for them to be ridden over like they currently are. It looks like THEY REALLY don’t want you to know!!
