Marlon Cherry was the first ever 21 questions that Bruinou.com conducted. His group Ganesh who has been making waves in Europe, mostly Italy, for a while now, has finally broken into the SA charts with their smash hit We are Ganesh. The track reached number one back in December but has since changed. The track is off their third album Life is beautiful and you can listen to it here: http://www.myspace.com/ganeshmusik .

Marlon’s sister is the vocally gifted Kerry, who performs with Verd Eaton on the hit “Baby”. Marlon hails from Sydenham, Durban and is also a first cousin to Verd. Marlon has been involved in music for many years so to read more about his background go to the 21 questions section.
Heart104.9 DJ Lee Downs was instrumental in getting the song played on the radio locally. Marlon contacted me to keep me posted about how well their album was doing in Europe and asked if I could put him in touch with radio DJs here who could possibly give it some radio play. I tried a couple but it was just Lee Downs who responded. Lee is renowned for his support of local up-and-coming artists and we commend him for all of his efforts. Lee was interviewed on our 21 questions a couple of months ago as well so go back into the archives to read the interview and we would like to interview him again soon to see what he is up to.
