Tia is an American orignally from Los Angeles now living in Cape Town South Africa. On her YouTube Channel Living The Dream With Tia she says: “It’s not just about being American abroad but being a black American abroad is quite funny. It’s by no mistake I look coloured cause I feel at home since moving to South Africa from America but the comments, opinions and perspective I hear are so interesting.”

We love that Tia is actively learning about our Coloured culture and our history by not just taking things at face-value. She also shows a clear understanding of Tyla affirming her Coloured identity to the American people.
We also love that Tia is at least trying to learn the two other official languages of the Western Cape, which are Afrikaans and isiXhosa.
