Jozi Teen Stars to Shine among Top Entertainers at Cape Town Jazz Party via Joburg

Eldorado Park teen band Shades of Brown and Latin Dance champions Meecah Bawa and Hamisse Nene are set to wow the Cape Town Jazz Party via Joburg crowd.

Returning to The View, Kibler Park on 27 April 2024 for the second leg of the Cape Town Jazz Party via Joburg, Uncle Cal has once again assembled a fantastic lineup of entertainers to make the event as memorable as the first one held at the same venue in September 2023.

With the first event being such a huge success, Uncle Cal Productions is introducing another element to the second leg of the Cape Town Jazz Party via Joburg; one which has worked well across many other Uncle Cal events in the Cape and indeed across Southern Africa.
It is often a feature of the larger Uncle Cal Productions events like the Jazz On The Lawn and the Matroosfontein Jazz Reunion festivals in Cape Town that young up and coming entertainers are given the opportunity to showcase their talents to a large crowd and to experience working with the professional artists on the lineup.

The teen band from Eldorado Park, Shades of Brown and Latin Dance champions Meecah Bawa and Hamisse Nene are set to wow the Cape Town Jazz Party via Joburg crowd. These young entertainers will share a platform with some of Cape Town and Joburg’s top Jazz & Funk Artists along with top level DJ’s to create an awesome experience for party-goers at The View, Kibler Park.

Investing in The Future of Entertainment

The Unique Cape Jazz Culture is a phenomenon that anyone from outside of Cape Town usually can only experience on a visit to The Mother City.
In bringing an authentic Cape Jazz Xperience to Johannesburg, Calvin Peters aka Uncle Cal not only serves up a slice of home to Cape Migrants living in Jozi but also introduces a genuine taste of the Cape Jazz Scene to Joburgers who may have not been to the Cape before.

Of course regular listeners of Joburg’s Eldos FM will be familiar with The Uncle Cal Xperience 9-10pm Saturday night radio slot and should by now have an idea of who Uncle Cal is as a presenter and as a DJ, but that is just a small introduction to everything else that Uncle Cal can conjure up.

Seeking out young entertainers who have the capacity to enhance the experience of event-goers while they benefit from being on the same stages as the pros, is a formula that not only adds value to Uncle Cal events but also builds future value for the South African entertainment industry.

It often turns out that the performances from young entertainers at Uncle Cal events are seen as a highlight by the audience. Along with that the hype and media coverage around their performances often also serves as a springboard to introduce them to a wider audience who may not have attended these events, leading to an increase in bookings for them.
