About Us

Welcome to Bruinou.com!

Bruinou.com is your place to meet and connect with Coloured South Africans all around the world.

No, Bruinou.com is not a political party, neither is it some well-funded corporate entity with buckets of cash, we’re just a bunch of concerned people who believe that it’s time for Coloured South Africans to come out from the shadows and express themselves. You see, we’ve seen some amazing things happen when people share their backgrounds, life pursuits, dreams and ideas with one another. At Bruinou.com, we want to channel the strength of our real world communities into a fun and powerful online community. On Bruinou.com, members can start meaningful friendships and relationships, find important information or just have fun. Our ethos of “Family, Community, Country!” means that we always encourage wholesome family values so that we can create strong, progressive communities and in so doing, contribute more to the growth and prosperity of our country.

Here on Bruinou.com, you can find the answer to those “hard” questions about Coloured identity and a whole lot more as you join the most authentic online community on its long and arduous journey of self-discovery. Bruinou.com is definitely not a separatist website, rather it is a service aimed at celebrating diversity in South Africa, by boldly including Coloured South Africans in this country’s great cultural resurgence. On Bruinou.com, you can chat or post photos, contribute to online discussions, meet friends, make new ones, hookup, comment on our articles, submit some of your own articles, start blogging, interact and just express yourself…it’s all possible right here.

Bruinou.com is not and neither does it purport or claim to be the panacea for the Coloured community, it is simply an online community that encourages communal self-reliance, networking, learning and self-expression amongst our members in the hope that together, we can change our circumstances.

So go ahead, spread the word and get every single person you know, whether they identify with the term “Coloured” or not, to register on Bruinou.com now and become a part of something profound…
