The objective of the Jazz on The Vlei Mini Concert series is to provide young and upcoming artists with a platform to show off their skills and to share the stage with more experienced artists.
The first mini concert in the 2017 series which is playfully dubbed "Love Bite" will take place on 25 February
During 2017 there will 3 x mini concerts leading up to the annual Jazz on the Vlei held on the 2nd of December 2017.
Jazz on the Vlei encourages bands to perform their original material at these concerts.
Food & beverages will be on sale, audiences are encouraged to support the various clothing, food, curio and art stalls who trade weekly at the Jolly Carp Organic Market.
Jolly Carp is situated on Princess Vlei, entrance via Retreat hall, there is plenty of safe parking and the venue is child friendly, so the entire family can attend, parents can listen to good music while the kids enjoy the garden and it’s wonderful treasures.
Bands/Artists: The Young Visitors, Blaqpearl, Timothy Ehrenreicht feat Tracy Butler, The Mark Williams Band feat: Zelda Benjamin & Marzia Barry and The Winston Siljeur Project feat: Sammy Webber & Lyle Syster.
There will a Guitar Jam Session to close off the live performances featuring various guitarists and special guests.
The event finally plays out with DJ Jason Roberts & DJ realROZZANO doing a back to back set from 11pm to midnight.
