SA Gymnastics Star Caitlin Rooskrantz has Qualified for 2024 Paris Olympics during the 2023 World Championship in Belgium

SA Gymnastics Star Caitlin Rooskrantz has secured her ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Caitlin Rooskrantz qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics with her highest total at the World Championships currently underway in Belgium.

The 21 year old gymnast from Johannesburg who competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics is also the 2022 African Champion after claiming top honours at the 16th African Artistic Championships in Egypt.

Sharing the good news on Instagram, Caitlin said she ‘fought to the very end’.

“It’s been a long month of three different competitions in three different countries. Many exciting moments and some really tough ones too. Not everything went exactly to plan but we are coming home with an Olympic ticket, and that’s all that matters.

“To that little girl out there, never stop believing. God put that dream in your heart for a reason.”

In an interiew Caitlin did a few days ago with GymCastic, it seems apparent that beyond her time at the top echelons of the sport, Caitlin, who trains at JGC Gymnastics in Newlands alongside her Team SA teammate Naveen Daries, already has her sights set on the development of the sport in South Africa and the pair acted as de facto captains who leading TeamSA in Belgium.
