When these guys realised that event organisers from other major cities like Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban were hosting events in Gauteng promoting their cities' artists and cultures it ignited the spark that created a new events management brand. GOSP or Gauteng Old School Parties believe that even though the old school concept is one that has been around for many years, doing a proper old school event with a heavy Gauteng influence is something that has not been done yet.

Here is what they have to say about their first official event.
"These guys came to our turf and showed off their stars and our Gautengers welcomed them and made them feel special and we applaud all these companies for coming to GP. The mission for GOSP is to introduce most of our Gauteng Stars and allow them to show off their skills."

When we thought of South Africa's most successful corporate band, Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels who have been living in Gauteng for just over 20years we could appreciate the fact that Dr Victor has great knowledge of proper Old School Music.
We asked Dr Victor to take us back to the days when he was wearing bell bottoms and he has promised us that the crowd is in for a special treat.
A one man show will not be enough for us to show off our Gauteng talent and this is when we thought of DJ Jazzy D.
Jazzy has worked alongside some of South Africa's biggest stars such as Kurt Darren, Tk, Tembi Seate, Kabelo Bougalove (TKZEE) , Winnie Khumalo, Alistair Izobelle, Idols winner Jody Williams, Denim as well as Dr Victor.
He is also behind one of South Africa's biggest club hits that was also a radio chart-topper across the country. Jazzy D's version of Lady Soul is a song that is known to every South African world wide.

Jazzy D also has a huge Old School show on JacarandaFm every Saturday evening boasting just over 1 million listeners. His show has become popular amongst the mature fans and there is a huge demand for his old school mixes. These 2 acts being our main acts does not mean we will stop there, some more names will be added on the show and Gautengers can expect an evening filled with class and many memories.

Recess Centurion on the corner of Lenchen North & South Street (Upstairs to Metro Home Centre) and next to Centurion Mall is no ordinary venue. We have never seen a nightclub that has so much intelligent lighting. Split over two levels with four bars, they boast proper professional laser lights and hydraulic lights that come down from the lighting grid.
The club has private VIP booths that ooze class and elegance and there are cage dance areas where the clubs resident dancers entertain the crowd.
The club also boasts a sound system that does not hurt your ears but can be felt through your body, professional LED big screens seen mostly at stadiums and a dj box that will make any dj melt with its high-end equipment.

"Our plan is to roll out the red carpet and get a few professional photographers with a video crew that will be capturing the whole event. A 2 hour DVD will be made of the event and we want to take the people on a journey right from the start until the end, celebrating old school The Gauteng Way."

All Booths has been sold out on day one of pre-sale opening but there are a few VIP tickets available as well as V.VIP.
Tickets can also be purchased on the night at the door.
Platters can be pre-ordered.
